Thwarted by his parents for having fallen in love with the daughter of a film actress, foreign returned Shanker is thrown out of his house by his father. His sweet heart Usha's mother too refuses to accept Shankar as her son-in-law. Shankar and Usha marry with the help of his friend Baalu, and get employed in his office. The office Manager Sarathy, a womanizer, breaches the chastity of the typist, and kills her. Shankar witnesses this and gets him punished. Sarathy escapes from prison and starts harassing the family.
